README

A Hungarian indigenous design that found its way onto the Libyan Black Market in 2016.

The Danuvia M53 K1 is a 7.62x25mm Tokarev Hungarian submachine gun designed from the Danuvia 44.M in the early 50s by Joszef Kucher, and pushed into very limited production by the now-defunct Danuvia company factories to be adopted by the Hungarian Army in 1953. However, the PPSh-41 was favoured by the Hungarian Stalinist dictator at the time, Matyas Rákosi, and was ultimately shelved after a limited run of 4,000 produced models. The M53 K1 was used until the 1970s by Hungarian forces, as evidenced by Hungarian reported stocks of the item in 1975. One particular Danuvia M53 K1 managed to find its way into the Tripoli Black Market following the Libyan Civil War in 2016, noted by a Facebook post listing the weapon on sale for only $440 USD. Another managed to be modified by a combatant in Lebanon, featuring a cut down barrel and stock.

The Danuvia M53 K1, from a purchased model on ArtStation by Ovidiu Barat, he was stoked to hear that his own model would be used in a mod for this game!

Features

  • The Danuvia M53 K1 is found in the SMG section of the item spawner, fires at ~700 RPM, with its own 35 round magazine, and is chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev
  • A folding stock and suppressor mount are available. The Folding Stock will clip through the magazine, and I am trying to figure out how to remedy this
  • The Danuvia M53 K1 fires in semi-automatic (noted by the "E" on the fire selector, for "Egyenként") and automatic (noted by the "S" on the fire selector, for "Sorozat"). The bolt safety is seen to be activated when the notch on the bolt handle has been moved inwards.
  • Working waggles and a flippable iron sight

Planned

  • Fixed stock clipping for the magazine
  • Functional Bolt lock for the safety - this needs a script update and will have to be done in the future (It's also needed for the PPSh-41)

Changelog

1.1.0

  • Added functionality for flippable iron sights (literally a box wasn't ticked and it broke)
  • The gun has bolt safety now - the default firing mode has also been set to "Safe"
  • Updated magazine icon with bullets
  • Fixed a wonky item ID
  • Fixed bad stock phys

1.0.0

  • Initial release
